[Post-Apocalypse] Good Guys don't always win.

I've never tried this before, so bear with me if I make the occasional illogical mistake. The title pretty much says all about the plot, but I'll expand on it in said 'plot' section. This is based off no books. This is based off no movies. However, there are a few inhibiting rules that I would like people to abide by.

RULES:

  • Vampires, Lycans, Wraiths/Ghosts, Magick-users, Orcs, Undead, go for it. The same goes for the good side of things- as the demons of the world came out, so did the good beings descended from the angels. In other words, elves, nymphs, and the like. However, their kind (elves and nymphs) are decidedly more weak then shown in movies like LOTR, and are mainly magic based. Elves have the potential to be warriors, but they are peaceful-minded creatures and fight using magick.
  • There are to be no demi-gods. Magick, when used by main or side characters, has been severely limited. A death caused by magic will bring about death to the magic-user. Healing wounds will open a similar wound on the healer, unless there is more than one healer, in which case the intensity will be spread across the healers. If something huge happens, or people want their character to do, it'd need to be discussed with everyone roleplaying, or pre-discussed as part of the plot. Sorry for the severe cuts, but it's to ensure no chance of godmoding.
  • Maximum 3 characters, maximum 3 other people. I have a feeling that this one won't matter so much.

SETTING:

  • The angels and the humans have lost. All major cities have been taken by demons, who now live the humans regular lives- though some jobs have been replaced by magical means. Heaven took back the angels it could recover in time and then closed off, leaving Earth and the Angels left behind to fend for themselves. As minor results in the change of power, water has taken on an oily texture, sunflowers and roses have simply died out, and many plants no longer display the vibrancy of before, but rather a darker hue. Coral Reefs are dying, and jelly-fish are slowly taking over the ocean. Half of that is background information.
  • The humans that continue to fight now live in the mountains, as close to the heavens as they can get. Such examples are the Himalayas in China, or Mount Everest and the ranges in Australia. There are small bases all over the world, and a group of the Arch-Angels set up teleporters between the main ones. These teleporters can only take one person at a time, and take hours to cool down and power up again.
  • The main base of the demons is now situated in Las Vegas. The majority of the demons no longer care about the humans and angels that are left fighting, as most have been captured and are used as amusement, or are simply in too few numbers to cause any undue damage. There is a price on particularly beautiful humans and a higher one on angels brought back alive, and there are now several places that breed such, or try to capture the ones left.
  • For reference, it's been 12 years since the takeover, and is now 2025.

PLOT:

  • For the humans and angels, to survive. The world created here can venture from anywhere from the mountains where the rebels reside, or in a distant city, in a nightclub where the angels and humans are put on display and help seems far, far away.
  • The main hunting business' name is unpronounceable by humans, and its employees have been nicknamed 'City Dogs' by the rebels. Some capture by means of magick, but its trademark uses are homing tranquilizer darts and the like.
  • In retaliation, the rebels have organised a couple gadgets to help avoid and capture the Dogs that travel too close to base or get ahold of them when foraying further out. Sense-scatterers work the best, but are magick-based and hard to make.

That's the basics of all the information from the version of the world I've made. The plot can be anything to everything, so figure out what interests you the most and send me a PM. A new post will be made with the decided setting and plot, along with my introduction. That's all, folks.
Come join!

And we have a catch; hook, line and sinker. The plot and setting have been decided- and both can and probably will be edited by the lovely Jade, as the details I make up on the spot right now.

SETTING:
  • Las Vegas had always been one of the more sinful cities of the Earth. Flashy, attention-seeking titles lit the broken cobblestones in place of street-lamps, their multi-coloured advertisements brighter than the rare star that shone through the thick layer of smog and pollution looming above the monstrous figures of cement, steel and glass. It had been teeming with human life not so long go; rats that frequented the same holes with a repetitive frenzy - the regulars in the bars, nightclubs,strip-joints and office cubicles.
  • Now the infamous city is a favourite of the demons who inhabit it, and the neon signs above the clubs are guttering above throngs of demons. Only particularly idiotic - or determined - members of the rebellion would go anywhere near these places, or the city itself for any matter. Humans and Angels are only used for entertainment here, gambling chips for the odd game of poker, or otherwise slightly more sadistically based events.
  • Las Vegas is simply just one giant Casino, Night Club, and Strip - Joint rolled into one. It's just a matter of a voiding the VIP areas; unless you have your card, or the money to pay, of course.

PLOT:
  • Michael, the archi-est archangel of them all, has woken from a millenia-strengthened sleep, only to find the world as a nightmare. One could imagine he's not too happy with the state of things. As such, with him waking up and all, the rebellion finally have a chance at fighting back the somewhat demon-like plague that has effectively smothered their world.
  • However, not all of the rebellion know yet. His return is a fairly new thing, and the humans and angels of this lost cause are spread out all over the planet, and not always with communication-devices hooked up. Not everybody knows that there is hope again for the lighter side. Not everybody sees it that way, either.

((*Claps wildly and cheers, wishing she knew how to whistle, then standing and putting her hands to her cheeks in overly dramatized bashfulness and looking around.* Lovely? Moi? Ah, you shouldn't have! Well, that was a wonderfully summary by the infamous and charismatic Sham! Let's give her a hand, guys!! *All joiners must throw Sham a rose for her wonderful post. ^.^* *Throws a red and white rose at Sham.* I will post my intro when I get home. We're about to leave Houston. I don't want to start a post and then not be able to finish it. That annoys me.))

Hey, Lovelies! Jade, I think I'll take you up on the offer to play Micheal; sounds like a fun character to horribly butcher portray. XD

Bleh~
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this, guys. DDD: I've been busy and all, not to mention actually trying to stay away from this site. xD My sleep patterns have been 3, 6, 3, 5 hours over the past... however many days that was, so I've been putting roleplaying off a fair bit until I can type with some degree of eloquence again.
-catches red and white rose- Awh. (: You're right. Slightly less lovely, more impure awesome with snatches of brilliance? Again, I'm so sorry. DD:

I hope the pair of you are still interested in this. I have a team of humans and angels that haven't heard about Michael yet that I was planning to use, but I wanted to ask you both if you'd prefer a romance-based roleplay, or a violence/adventure-based roleplay first. ^_^
